Allergy & Anaphylaxis (AAI's) Training
About
A training session covering recognition and emergency management of anaphylaxis, including adrenaline auto-injector use, in light of new school allergy legislation.
This in-person training session from Voluntary Action Harrow covers the recognition of anaphylaxis and its triggers, immediate first aid management including primary assessment, resuscitation and the recovery position, and the administration, obtaining and storing of adrenaline auto-injectors. The session also provides context on Benedict's Law (the School Allergy Safety Bill), new statutory allergy safety guidance for schools in England taking effect from September 2026, named after Benedict Blythe, who died from anaphylaxis at school in 2021. It runs from 10am to 12:30pm and is aimed at those working in voluntary, community, public and private sector roles.
