Treacle Market Sunday

Christ Church opens alongside Macclesfield's Treacle Market with its usual array of secondhand books, volunteers to chat to and a peaceful space to browse.

On Treacle Market Sunday, Christ Church opens its doors to market visitors with its usual array of secondhand books. Visitors can look around the church, chat to volunteers and enjoy a peaceful moment or two amid the market bustle. The church sits on Bridge Street in Macclesfield town centre, alongside the market itself.
