About
A hands-on school-holiday farm day for 8–16 year olds, with feeding, mucking out and animal care at Wellgate Community Farm.
Children aged 8 to 16 are dropped off for a four-hour session of real farm work during the school holidays. Activities include mucking out, daily chores, feeding routines, safe animal handling and learning about animal care, with the chance to cuddle and groom the goats. Participants bring a packed lunch and old clothes, and groups are kept small so everyone gets hands-on time with the animals.
