About
British Museum curator Sue Brunning gives a talk at Woodbridge's Riverside Theatre on the Bayeux Tapestry and its landmark loan to the museum.
Curator Sue Brunning explores the story of the Bayeux Tapestry, the 70-metre embroidery depicting the events leading to the Battle of Hastings in 1066, and celebrates its landmark loan to the British Museum — its first return to England in nearly 1,000 years. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 45-minute talk starting at 7pm, followed by questions and a signing of the books accompanying the exhibition, which will be available to purchase on the night. The event is most suitable for adults and children over 12.
