Anne Ryan: Folkmoot

Anne Ryan layers sculpture, painting and frieze above the Roman Temple of Mithras, bringing the City’s archaeological past into conversation with its streets and wildlife.

Ryan’s commission builds a landscape of freestanding sculptural forms, paintings and collage above the Temple of Mithras. Drawing on her walks through London, the work brings Roman artefacts, myths, wildlife and images of the changing city into conversation. Maps and walks created with Kathy Prendergast accompany the exhibition.
