The Shaftesbury New Writing Scratch Festival

A two-show festival introduces new plays as script-in-hand performances, giving writers audience feedback and support to develop their scripts.

The youth showcase (ages 10–18) runs from 14:00 to 17:00, followed by the adult showcase from 19:00 to 22:00 on 28 November. Each showcase can select up to six pieces. Audiences can vote for best new writing, standout actor performance and festival support. Participating scripts receive basic technical support and access to rehearsal space during November, subject to availability and agreed booking times. No ticket price is stated in the captured programme.
