Impro(ve) Your Soul, Hebden

A one-hour improv comedy session at Hope Baptist Church where participants play improv games and build confidence, with no experience required.

This weekly-style session introduces participants to improvisational comedy through games and step-by-step exercises, with a different improv game explored each week. Tutor Duncan Marwick, an improviser for over 35 years, leads the hour-long class, which is pitched at anyone wanting to develop communication and social confidence rather than necessarily perform. The organisers emphasise laughter and letting go of perfectionism over formal comedy instruction.
