Discovering Archaeology: From Field to Finds Room

A ten-session introduction to archaeological methods examines fieldwork, evidence and interpretation across historical periods.

Lectures and classes cover preliminary site assessment, excavation and interpretation, non-invasive investigation, built archaeology, dating and material evidence, with case studies from northern Europe and the Mediterranean. The course page says there are no prerequisites. The published timetable includes one field trip, but gives no additional location or date beyond the class schedule.
