What Makes a Monster - Strange Cases

Author-illustrator Riotbones gives a talk and Q&A tracing figures of Filipino horror through the country's history, from the Cordilleras and Central Luzon to Manila, examining folk myths and what horror reveals about collective consciousness. The talk also covers how this research shaped Strange Cases, their debut gothic horror-legal drama graphic novel that subverts these myths and genre conventions. Authentic Filipino baked goods, drinks and snacks will be available.
