Glasgow Necropolis Walking Tours
About
Volunteer-led walking tours of the Victorian Glasgow Necropolis cemetery, lasting about two hours and free with donations welcome.
The Friends of Glasgow Necropolis run friendly, informal walking tours of the 37-acre Victorian cemetery, led by volunteer guides. Each tour gives an introduction and overview of the site, telling the stories of some of the 50,000 people interred there and their role in making Glasgow the second city of the Victorian Empire. General tours last approximately two hours and are free, with donations supporting conservation and restoration work. Prior booking is essential, with Friends members having priority and remaining places allocated first come, first served.
