About

Forty paintings from the Bowerman Collection are shown alongside works from Penlee House, tracing the Newlyn School and its depictions of Cornish life and landscape. The display includes Walter Langley’s Breadwinners, Harold Harvey’s Titbits, Elizabeth Forbes’s Picnic in the Woods and Dod Procter’s Blue, Portrait of a Girl. It follows the Newlyn artists’ colony from the 1880s into the early twentieth century.
