Half Cut Theatre presents a 75-minute, no-interval adaptation of Dickens' Great Expectations for ages 7 and up. Pip's life changes when a mysterious and dangerous benefactor gives them 'Great Expectations'. The company uses its inventive style to conjure the Kent Marshes, a blacksmith's workshop, 19th-century London and a rotting stately home, with characters including Magwitch, Joe Gargery, Jaggers and Miss Havisham. The Christmas production incorporates sound, music, sensation and even smell.
