This workshop, aimed at Scotland's emerging filmmaking talent, explores how to approach film festivals strategically — identifying suitable festivals, preparing submissions, and understanding industry opportunities and networking. Diane Henderson, formerly Deputy Artistic Director of the Edinburgh International Film Festival and now Producer of the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival, draws on over 25 years of experience to share practical advice and real-life insights. The two-hour session is designed to give participants the confidence to develop and execute their own festival strategy, and is funded by Screen Scotland through the Screen Education Fund.
