About
A shape-shifting android’s cybersexual mission becomes a story of desire and resistance, introduced by writer and curator Emily Jisoo Bowles.
Shu Lea Cheang’s science-fiction film follows Reiko, an android gathering data for a corporation through sexual encounters. As Reiko moves across bodies and experiences, the film explores desire, technology and autonomy. The ICA screens it within Collective Visions of Pleasure with an introduction by Emily Jisoo Bowles, a writer, translator and film programmer at Queer East Festival.
