Mark Twain In Person

Ken O'Hara performs as Mark Twain in a one-man play of storytelling and wit drawn from Twain's 1900 lecturing tours.

This one-man play, conceived by Ken O'Hara, portrays Mark Twain during one of his American lecturing tours in 1900. Using Twain's own material, O'Hara transforms into the author in his famous white suit, with cigar and whisky in hand, delivering stories of his boyhood, the American Civil War, his time as a Mississippi riverboat pilot and his observations on humanity. The 90-minute show includes Twain's celebrated one-liners and witticisms; audiences are advised that a racial epithet appears in the context of Twain's writing. The performance is for ages 16+.
