About
The Northern Chamber Orchestra performs Haydn's Seven Last Words of Our Saviour on the Cross, originally written for a Good Friday service. The work unfolds as seven meditations on Christ's final sayings from the cross, moving from darkness towards tenderness, consolation and redemption. Actor David Threlfall (subject to availability) joins as narrator, with Steven Threlfall conducting and Sarah Brandwood-Spencer leading the orchestra. The performance lasts 90 minutes with no interval.
