Christopher Dresser: The Pursuit of Beauty

A major exhibition of objects tracing the Victorian designer’s influence across art, craft and manufacturing.

The exhibition follows Christopher Dresser’s work in ceramics, metalwork, glass, furniture, textiles and graphic design, drawing on collections across the UK. It explores his embrace of industrial production and the influence of Japanese art and design. Four contemporary artists—Gabriele Beveridge, Alice Channer, Coco Crampton and Magdalene Odundo—bring these continuing design themes into dialogue with contemporary work.
