Vivaldi's The Four Seasons by Candlelight

A one-hour candlelight concert at St Giles-in-the-Fields pairing Handel's Messiah overture and Torelli's Christmas Concerto with Vivaldi's Four Seasons, performed by Charlie Lovell-Jones.

London Concertante presents a one-hour Baroque programme for the festive season. It opens with the overture from Handel's Messiah, a staple of the Christmas repertoire, alongside Torelli's Christmas Concerto. The concert closes with Vivaldi's Four Seasons, four concertos depicting the seasons in sound — birdsong, summer storms, harvest and winter ice — inspired by accompanying sonnets. Soloist Charlie Lovell-Jones performs with the ensemble; doors open at 5:15pm and tickets are general admission with no seating plan.
