Amadeus

Michael Sheen and Callum Scott Howells star in the first major revival in over a decade of Peter Shaffer's play Amadeus at the Noël Coward Theatre.

Directed by Jeremy Herrin, this revival of Peter Shaffer's Amadeus runs at the Noël Coward Theatre from 17 April to 7 August 2027. Set in Vienna in 1820, the play follows composer Antonio Salieri, whose certainty about his own talent is shattered when he encounters the prodigious Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, sparking a dangerous obsession. Michael Sheen plays Salieri opposite Callum Scott Howells as Mozart, in the first time two Welsh actors have taken on these roles. Performances run Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.
