From Dusk to Dawn

Fourteen musicians from Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra take the audience on a musical journey from night to day, beginning with a bedtime story and moving through mystical night-time music towards the sunlit morning. The programme includes Haydn’s “Le Soir”, Danse Macabre, Lili Boulanger’s Nocturne, music from Sleeping Beauty and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and “Walking on Sunshine”. This relaxed performance is open to everyone: audiences may bring a blanket, make noise and move in and out of the space as needed. The Exchange advertises a 14:00–16:00 event window; the concert is described as 60 minutes without an interval.
