Viennese Christmas Spectacular by Candlelight

A candlelit orchestral and vocal concert of Viennese waltzes, operetta favourites and Christmas-season classics at Sheffield Cathedral.

A candlelight concert celebrating the Viennese tradition, centred on the music of Johann Strauss II alongside waltzes by Shostakovich, Sibelius and Tchaikovsky, including selections from The Nutcracker. The programme also features operetta highlights sung by soloist Mathilde Milwidsky, such as Lehár's Vilja-Lied and Adele's Laughing Song from Die Fledermaus. The concert lasts approximately two hours including a short interval, with a bar open before the performance and during the interval.
