Wild Boar Street: Dig Discovery Day - Darley Street Market

A free family discovery day exploring the hidden history of Wild Boar Street and Bradford's lost Wapping district with artist Naseem Darbey.

Artist Naseem Darbey leads an afternoon exploring the history of Wild Boar Street and Bradford's lost Wapping district, part of a project developed with Bradford Museums & Galleries and South Square Centre. Visitors can handle real archaeological finds from a recent dig, join writer and social historian Irene Lofthouse for interactive storytelling about Bradford's famous wild boar, and take part in a family-friendly art activity. Naseem's interactive Mona and the Moths sculpture, using UV lights and sensors to reveal hidden patterns, will also be on show, and attendees are invited to bring photographs, memories or stories connected to Wapping.
