About

Three Canadian nurses on the Western Front in 1918 find friendship and independence while caring for wounded soldiers in Vern Thiessen’s drama.

Theatre New Brunswick brings Vern Thiessen’s Bluebirds to the Finborough Theatre for its European premiere, directed by Natasha MacLellan. Inspired by real events, the play follows Christy, Maggie and Bab as they face the injuries and dangers of the First World War while forming a bond that helps them maintain hope. The production lasts 75 minutes without an interval.
