Hogmanay Torchlight Procession

A community torchlight procession through Nethy Bridge on New Year's Eve, led by a piper, with refreshments beforehand and proceeds to the primary school.

The Nethy Bridge Torchlight Procession is a village tradition marking Hogmanay. Participants gather at Lynstock Crescent from 6pm, where hot chocolate and mulled drinks are served, before a local piper leads a torchlit procession through the village at 7pm. Torches can be bought on the night, with proceeds supporting Abernethy Primary School, and the evening leads into the Hogmanay Ceilidh.
