The View

A physical performance by Chloe Shyan and Eliza Jean Scott follows a scientist and a young woman seeking connection across spoken language, through parallel encounters with an endangered bird and an old tree.

Inspired by relationships that move beyond spoken language, Chloe Shyan and Eliza Jean Scott portray two people who encounter each other repeatedly: a scientist studying a critically endangered solitary bird, and a young woman searching for words to tell an old tree she loves it. The devised production combines sonic and visual design with physical performance, shifting between humour, introspection and tenderness. The official booking page warns of audience interaction, flashing lights and sudden loud noises.
