Olly Chalk's Cocktail Swing

Pianist Olly Chalk plays cocktail swing versions of the standards in two intimate shows at the Piano Bar in Soho.

Pianist and composer Olly Chalk brings cocktail swing to the Piano Bar, hidden inside Jack Solomons Club. He moves between detailed composition and free improvisation, has three albums under his own name including In Those Remote Stars, and teaches jazz piano at Trinity Laban. For these two shows he turns his touch to the standards, played up close in candlelit cocktail seating, with sets at 7.00–7.30pm and 7.45–8.15pm in the early show and 9.00–9.30pm and 9.45–10.15pm in the late show. Entry is over 21s with valid ID, and the cocktail bar opens from 6pm.
