Talk: A Collection of Pockets & the Women Who Wore Them

This talk explores a series of handmade tie-on pockets created for a March 2025 exhibition with Elmslie Embroiderers, each reflecting the life of a woman with links to Worcestershire. Inspired by the Foundling Hospital podcast 'Take this Token', the speaker introduces what tie-on pockets were, how they were worn and why they mattered to women. The audience will also have the chance to see and touch some pockets up close. The event lasts two hours.
