Stars of Wonder
About
A Christmas appeal at Sheffield Cathedral where £3 tickets bought in the gift shop come with a Pete McKee decoration and entry into a draw for handcrafted stars.
Stars of Wonder is Sheffield Cathedral's annual Christmas appeal, running alongside its Christmas Tree Festival from 1 to 20 December. Visitors buy entries at the 1554 Coffee & Gift Shop, each receiving a limited-edition wooden decoration featuring a character from Pete McKee's The Nativity, commissioned by the Cathedral in 2024. Two handcrafted stars made by Chimo Holdings from recycled material supplied by Kuusakoski will top the Cathedral's Christmas trees, and two winning ticket-holders will receive a personalised star as a keepsake. Proceeds support the Cathedral's ministry, heritage, music, events and community work.
