Fife Opera Presents Orpheus In The Underworld By Offenbach

Fife Opera celebrates its 50th Anniversary with a lively, modern operetta adaptation of Orpheus in the Underworld by Jacques Offenbach.

This comic satire on Gluck’s Orpheus and Eurydice is presented in a brand-new production, transporting the action into the modern day. The story follows an unhappy couple, Orpheus and Eurydice, whose lives are complicated after her unexpected death. The gods of Olympus are reimagined as residents of a luxurious Las Vegas penthouse. The operetta is sung in English with spoken dialogue and features the world-famous Can-Can.
