About

An evening drop-in upcycling workshop where participants bring a garment to customise with mending, applique, hardware, rhinestones and more, guided by Sxc Scraps.

This evening edition of the Upcycling Cafe is a drop-in Sip & Stitch session running 6–9pm, where attendees bring a garment or textile to upcycle and can stay as long as they like. Techniques on offer include eyelets and hardware, applique patching and slogans, visible mending such as sashiko-style stitching and jumper darning, invisible machine darning, rhinestoning, beading and button work. All tools and materials are provided, no experience is needed, and BYOB is welcome. The session is for ages 18+ and proceeds go to the facilitators of Badge Cafe.
