About
Unfinished Histories presents staged readings of two plays to recover queer theatre histories connected with Hackney.
This edition of Unfinished Histories’ Radical Roots project places two plays in conversation: Son of a Gun, devised by Hackney theatre company Sidewalk in 1976 and based on Tasha Fairbanks’s life, and Parminder Sekhon’s Madhuri, I Love You (1995). The event frames the readings as a way to rediscover LGBTQ+ theatre histories and bring generations into dialogue. The event is listed for ages 16+ and the venue is wheelchair accessible. Current readers/cast are not named in the captured detail page.
