Vivaldi's Four Seasons by Candlelight

A candlelit Baroque concert at Newcastle Cathedral featuring Vivaldi's Four Seasons alongside Handel, Corelli, Torelli and Bach, with soloist Dan-Iulian Drutac.

London Concertante presents a candlelit evening of Baroque Christmas music at Newcastle Cathedral. The programme opens with the overture from Handel's Messiah, followed by Corelli's and Torelli's Christmas Concertos and Bach's Violin Concerto in A Minor, before concluding with Vivaldi's Four Seasons, whose four concertos evoke birdsong, storms, harvests and winter ice. The concert lasts approximately two hours including a short interval, with doors opening at 6:45 pm.
