Steaming Day
About
See working steam and diesel engines in action, including the Basford Beam Engine, mill engines and ploughing engines, with vintage tractors, historic games and family museum trails.
Nottingham Industrial Museum’s Steaming Day brings its working engine collection to life. The museum describes up to eight engines running, including three diesel engines, alongside barn engines and vintage tractors. Visitors can explore the Victorian kitchen and its Taste of History, play historic games in the Lace Gallery and follow family trails; the museum notes that Taste of History may be offered when it is in steam. Wollaton Hall’s linked event details place the Steaming Day in the museum’s Engine Hall and courtyard.
