Bermondsey Antique Market

Bermondsey Antique Market, one of the UK's oldest antiques markets, held every Friday morning in Bermondsey Square with around 40 stalls of antiques, vintage, collectables, jewellery and art; free to attend.

Originally established in 1855 as the Metropolitan Cattle Market in Islington, the market moved to Bermondsey Square in 1947 and once held ‘marché ouvert’ status, allowing overnight trade between sunset and sunrise, until a change in the law in 1995. It remains London's principal traders' market, where dealers buy and sell among themselves, and is currently run by BAM 2021 Ltd.
