Gracie Bassie: Poetry for Optimists

Poet Gracie Bassie performs her uplifting, punk-inflected 'silly poetry' live at Lakedown Tap Room in Burwash.

Gracie Bassie performs her own uplifting poetry in an evening of rhythm, rhyme and good energy at Lakedown Tap Room. Her self-described 'silly poetry' tackles serious topics such as imposter syndrome, grief, introversion and identity, drawing comparisons to John Cooper Clarke and Kae Tempest. The set includes her viral piece 'A poem about being British from a toilet in Exeter'. The event runs for 90 minutes and food is available.
