Beak Contact / An Orchard Index with William Arnold & Eleanor Turnbull
About
An open studio in the Apple Store at Kestle Barton where artists William Arnold and Eleanor Turnbull present work in progress made with bird-pecked apples from the orchard.
Eleanor Turnbull and William Arnold present work in progress from their project Beak Contact / An Orchard Index, taking bird-pecked apples as a starting point. Working with analogue photography and mould-making processes, they will be present in the Apple Store at Kestle Barton and getting to know their more than human collaborators in the orchard. Arnold's practice explores human and natural history in the landscape through photography and site-specific performance, while Turnbull casts directly from the landscape, adapting mould-making to site, season and tide.
