About

A free, approximately 40km ride from Ealing along the Grand Union Canal and River Crane to Kneller Gardens, returning beside the Crane to Twickenham and Brentford.

The group meets at Ealing Town Hall from 9:45am for a 10am departure. The route passes the Hanwell Flight of Locks, Osterley Park, Cranebank Nature Reserve and Crane River Park, including its Shot Tower, before a lunch stop at Kneller Gardens. The return follows the River Crane to Twickenham and quieter roads through Isleworth, Syon Park and Brentford, reaching Ealing at about 3pm. Some sections are unsealed; riders are advised to bring a lock, spare inner tube and lights.
