Cinema – The Penguin Lessons

A screening of the comedy drama The Penguin Lessons, starring Steve Coogan and Jonathan Pryce, with an intermission.

Talisman Theatre's cinema programme screens The Penguin Lessons, a 2025 UK comedy drama certificate 12A running 112 minutes plus a 15-minute intermission. Inspired by a true story, the film follows disillusioned English teacher Tom Michell, who rescues a penguin from an oil-slicked beach in 1970s Argentina and finds it becoming a fixture at the Buenos Aires boys' school where he teaches. Directed by Peter Cattaneo and starring Steve Coogan and Jonathan Pryce, the film is shown with the bar and ice creams available during the intermission.
