Purple Pineapple Theatre, an amateur company based in Broughton, North Lincolnshire, presents the comedy A Bunch of Amateurs by Nick Newman and Ian Hislop. The play follows fading Hollywood action hero Jefferson Steele, who arrives in England expecting to play King Lear in Stratford-upon-Avon but instead lands in a sleepy Suffolk village, where he must work with enthusiastic amateur dramatists trying to save their theatre from developers. The performance starts at 19:30 at the Plowright Theatre, with an earlybird offer of £3 off per ticket available until 30/09/27.
