About
Punk band Sham 69 play a live show at The Fleece in Bristol.
Formed in Hersham, Surrey in 1975 by singer and lyricist Jimmy Pursey, Sham 69 bring their straight-ahead punk sound — with hard rock influences and sing-along choruses like "If the Kids Are United" and "(Gonna Be A) Borstal Breakout" — to The Fleece. The band's name comes from local graffiti celebrating a football team's winning season in 1969. The evening runs from 7pm to 10:30pm.
