About

A guided walking tour of Hyde Park covering its history, from the Tyburn Tree to Speakers' Corner, ending with a rare visit to the Victorian Pet Cemetery.

This guided walking tour explores Hyde Park's rich history with an expert guide, taking in stories from the Tyburn Tree executions, the founding of Speakers' Corner and the park's role during WW1. The route passes the Serpentine, linked to Peter Pan's first adventure in JM Barrie's novel. The tour finishes with a rare visit to Britain's first public Pet Cemetery, where over 1,000 pets were buried in the late 1800s. The event is designed for adults aged over 18, and dogs cannot be brought into the pet cemetery.
