Music In Lanark
About
Music In Lanark's 2026/27 concert series returns to the Musicians' Room at New Lanark with classical, opera and festive programmes by visiting performers.
Music In Lanark presents a season of concerts running between September and May in collaboration with the New Lanark Trust, based in the Musicians' Room at New Lanark World Heritage Site. The opening concert sees Troppos Ensemble perform Spanish and Latin-inspired arrangements of works by Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Shostakovich, followed by recitals including Paul Docherty and Jia Ning Ng's journey along the Danube and a flute-and-piano programme by Ubaldo Rosso and Andrea Vigna Taglianti. Two events at the New Lanark Hotel combine opera singing with a three-course meal: a festive Christmas evening and a Valentine's celebration of Robert Burns poems and opera arias. The season closes with two Montfort Scholars from the University of St Andrews performing Beethoven's Emperor Concerto on two pianos and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
