Simon Yates of Touching the Void – Pleasure and Pain

Simon Yates recounts a decade of remote mountain expeditions, including a Tajikistan climb with Mick Fowler that ended in a 100-metre fall and a difficult escape.

The Pleasure and Pain talk follows new climbs in the far north and south, South America, Central Asia and the Himalayas. Yates describes the 2023 Patkhor expedition, food poisoning, retreat in a storm and his three-day walk to safety after a fall.
