Marginalised & Menopausal - Manchester
About
A day gathering exploring menopause in marginalised communities through talks, community discussion and a comedy set from Shazia Mirza.
Now in its third year, this in-person gathering brings together marginalised communities, academics, researchers, practitioners and local stakeholders to talk openly about menopause and its wider effects. The programme covers early menopause, chemical menopause and perimenopause, alongside the emotional, social and economic impacts, with space for intergenerational dialogue about how menopause affects families, relationships and workplaces. Local grassroots organisations, clinicians and community leaders are spotlighted, and the day includes a comedy performance from Shazia Mirza. Food and drinks are included in the ticket price.
