The Totally Improvised Musical

Improvisers create a brand-new comedy musical on the spot from audience title suggestions, with live music, in the Studio at Chorley Theatre.

The Totally Improvised Musical is a comedy show in which a team of improvisers composes an entirely new musical each night from title suggestions offered by the audience, with story, songs, characters and choreography made up on the spot alongside live music. Previous titles have included The First Primark in Space and Vampires In Hull, and audience members whose titles are used win a prize. The show was nominated for Best Variety Show at Leicester Comedy Festival 2024 and is recommended for ages 16 and over, as it is not family friendly. This performance takes place in the Studio with unreserved seating and an earlier start time than previous years.
