About

Swingland's long-running Tuesday swing dance night at The Bedford with drop-in Lindy hop classes, practice time and DJ-led social dancing.

C Jam is Swingland's weekly Tuesday swing dance and music club, running at The Bedford in Balham since mid-2000. The evening opens with a drop-in beginners Lindy hop class at 6.45pm requiring no experience or partner, followed by practice time, an intermediates/advanced class at 8.15pm, and social dancing from 9pm to 10.30pm with swing DJs playing music from the 1930s, 40s and 50s. Classes are taught by Swingland founder Martin Ellis with Kim Sheard, and live bands appear roughly monthly.
