An exhibition of vintage Ladybird books, original illustrations and artefacts exploring the illustrators and visual style behind the publisher’s 1940–1975 golden years. Visitors can handle hundreds of books and follow a family trail linking them to the museum collections.
Curator Helen Day brings together vintage Ladybird books, original illustrations and artefacts to explore the artists behind the publisher’s 1940–1975 period. Visitors can browse and handle hundreds of books, while a family trail connects Ladybird themes to the museum’s collections. Free to visit from 25 July to 21 November 2026 during museum opening hours.
