ORCS UPRISE: IYP x free house

Ikon Youth Programme presents a free one-evening exhibition at free house in Digbeth, made with artist-curator Dinosaur Kilby and artist Emily Scarrott.

Ikon Youth Programme stages an exhibition at free house, an artist studio complex in Digbeth, Birmingham, developed in collaboration with artist-curator Dinosaur Kilby and artist Emily Scarrott. The work draws on conversations around social justice, solidarity and collective action, presenting IYP members' concerns and responses to the world around them. Scarrott's contribution involves handmade chainmail in sculptural, performative and text-based forms, subverting its historical references to tell folkloric, fantasy and sci-fi stories with anti-fascist themes. The event runs 6-8pm and is free to drop in.
