Carmen

Bizet's Carmen follows the escalating conflict between the independent Carmen and the increasingly possessive Don José.

Set in a Spanish town, the opera moves from Carmen's seduction of Don José to his abandonment of his former life. Her turn toward Escamillo exposes the jealousy and violence at the story's centre.
