Slips

Flatland Projects presents 'Slips', a major new commission exhibition by Los Angeles-based artist David Gilbert, showcasing photographs of cut paper.

The exhibition features a body of photographs taken in Gilbert's domestic studio. A central site-specific installation is an expansive collage of cut photographs and paper, which shifts with the natural light of the gallery. Gilbert also presents small-scale framed photographs where he cuts forms like suns and castles from paper, exploring the material's fluid nature.
